The character in the book from chapter one is Maniac Magee. He was born in a ordinary house in bridgeport. His parent left him with the sitter at home and then the high speed trolly came it crashed when the man is drunk and the swan then dive in to the water. That is how Maniac was an orphan when he was three years old. When before he wasn't become a orphan his name was Jeffrey Lionel Magee. Then after he was shipped to his relatives Aunt dot and uncle Dan. Maniac Magee was in the chorus. Then he wasn't supossed to be up on the risers. At last he never return to school and never return to the house. In chapter 1 it was talking about when Maniac Magee was little and the happen that was happen to him when he was three years old.

Amanda said 'Hi' to Maniac too. Then Maniac think she seem friendly so he said hi back to her. Then they have stop and talked to each other. Amanda was wondering where he was from and where he live.
